Who we are

ZoomRead is a daily reading coach for children in grades 1–9. It is operated by PEAK SALES DİJİTAL PAZARLAMA SATIŞ VE DIŞ TİCARET LTD. ŞTİ. (Türkiye). Contact: [email protected].

The account belongs to the parent

Only an adult (18+) can create an account. The parent adds child profiles and hands the device to the child. Settings, reports, purchases and all links that leave the app are behind a parent gate.

What we collect

Parent: email address, password (stored only as a hash), optional name, app language, time zone and settings, subscription status.

Child profile: a first name or nickname, school grade, reading language, app language, chosen interests and avatar. We never ask for a child’s email, phone number, photo, address or location.

Reading data: reading speed, comprehension answers, read-aloud accuracy, exercise results, session history and practised words. This is what the weekly progress chart is built from.

Voice: when the child reads aloud, the recording is sent to our server only to find which words need practice. It is not kept. If a parent turns on “Keep recordings”, recordings are deleted automatically within 24 hours at the latest.

Textbook photo (optional, grade 3 and up): the photo is used once to turn the page into a reading exercise and is not stored; the resulting text stays in the child’s profile.

Technical data: server logs (IP address, time, error messages) needed to run and protect the service, kept for a limited time; a push token if the parent enables reminders.

What we do not do

No advertising, no ad or attribution SDKs, no cross-app tracking, no advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID), no third-party analytics, no selling or renting of data. Nothing is shared publicly; there is no chat and no social feed.

Service providers (processors)

We use a small number of providers only to run the features, under contracts that forbid them from using the data for their own purposes:

OpenAI — speech-to-text for read-aloud audio, and text-to-speech of our own reading texts.

Anthropic — AI that turns a textbook photo into an exercise, checks a child’s spoken or typed answer and writes a short encouraging note. We do not send the child’s name to it.

Apple App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat — subscriptions. We never see card details.

Expo push service — reminders to the parent’s device, if enabled. Cloudflare — network security and delivery.

Our servers store all account and reading data.

How long we keep data

As long as the account exists. Deleting the account removes the parent account, every child profile and all reading data immediately; backups are overwritten within 14 days.

Delete, export, correct

In the app: Parent area → Settings → Delete account. A single child profile can be deleted under Parent area → Children. To get a copy of your data or to correct it, write to us; we answer within 30 days.

Children’s privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K, KVKK)

We collect only what the reading coach needs, with the parent’s consent given when the parent creates the account and adds a child. Parents can review, change or delete their child’s data at any time and can withdraw consent by deleting the profile.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example GDPR in the EU or KVKK in Türkiye) you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and you can complain to your data protection authority. Contact us first and we will help.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date above and, for important changes, tell parents in the app before the change applies.
